The Joystick module is a sensor similar to those found in gamepad controllers.

It is composed of two potentiometers mounted at 90 degrees with the cursors connected on the same axis.

This module has two analogue outputs varying from 0V to 5V corresponding to the movements along the X and Y axis. 2.5V represents the neutral position of each axis, 0V and 5V represent each of the ends.

By connecting this module to the analogue inputs of an Arduino kit, you will be able to directly read values between 0 and 1023 corresponding to the joystick position.
